Technically everybody who is executed dies of hypoxia – the only question is what causes the hypoxia. In fact everybody who dies actually dies of hypoxia unless their brain is physically destroyed before it can be deprived of oxygen. Either you or Portillo doesn't understand what hypoxia means.

You can starve somebody's brain of oxygen by separating their head from their body, or by giving them drugs that stop their heart from carrying blood to the brain. You can slip something around their neck to prevent them from breathing or you can make them breathe a gas that doesn't have enough oxygen to keep them alive.

The problem with making somebody inhale a gas that will cause them to painlessly slip away is that the first people who did this were the Nazis. The first gas chambers they made used carbon monoxide, so there's a big "Yuck" factor for any government that wants to copy this.

they are trained to wear them same as SBS are trained to wear them to mostly in case of chemical /gas the TV will always tell you it was the SAS that were here and there most of the time it is both SAS/SBS but there are many other unit that don't get the recognition like the SRR /RNC
