There are many different kinds of treadmills and "home appliances", so it is virtually impossible to answer your question without being given a specific list. what your asking is to find out if natural gas is better to heat with then electricity.
natural gas will cost about 60 cents to get a "heat unit" then compared to electricity for about a dollar.
what this means is that gas or electricity will do the same job to heat.
but the real answer is a heat unit from gas is less then a heat unit from electricity,
if you can go to a store and see the government rating for energy usage per year. that should be enough to prove that gas is cheaper then electricity.
