 Compare gas and electricity

Compare gas and electricity will become an every day issues as the time goes by. This is simply because people started to use more gas, as electricity prices increase and will eventually go higher. To compare gas and electricity one should think about a question – With which one could we live without?

My answer is Gas. Gas is great when reducing your energy consumption at home as for central heating or while cooking. Electricity though is needed for almost every sort of appliance on a day to day basis. For you car, for your computer etc. The list could go on and on if I mention every other item or benefit we can get out of electricity and not Gas.

Only in the future when actually scientists find a way to convert gas into electricity one could search and compare gas and electricity fairly.

When it comes to nowadays rates for gas and electricity we all know that gas is way cheaper than electricity. Specially after last years recession when gas prices have dropped considerably. Still we need to consider that once a contract is written off at the beginning of the year, rates will not change upon flotations on the market.

When fyou decide to compare gas and electricity please bare in mind that sometimes the cheaper deals are not the cheapest deals when it comes to maintenance and repair fees.

Yes and the Democrats are working feverishly to get another eleventh hour bill passed before anyone can figure this out. Anybody who gives a damn about this country needs to be raising hell with their House and Senator representatives right now before this happens.

Police stations without computers, 30-year-old “on hold” tapes grinding out tinny renditions of Greensleeves, ATMs that close when the bank does, suspect car engineering, and kerosene heaters but no central heating.

A dystopian vision of a nation with technology stuck in an Orwellian time warp? Not at all. These are aspects of contemporary, low-tech Japan that most visitors miss as they look around the hi-tech nation that its government, electronics industry and tourism board are keen to promote.

Tech-savvy internationalised companies such as Panasonic characterise that familiar but smaller segment of Japan Inc. The second much larger, and often subsidised economy, comprises overstaffed family-run firms that are decidedly low-tech and high-priced.

coal is much more efficient then petrol, and its much easier to move electricity down a wire then it is to move oil to the petrol station. It is cleaner but not 100% green

Actually- in some cases, states are allowed to choose the means of enforcement, but are nevertheless obliged to achieve a particular result. They cannot choose to opt out entirely once the date for implementation of a directive has passed.

Globalizing/nationalizing your resource is going to be a debacle; the US has been opening up power business buy out to foreign business interests Example NYS Electric and Gas is now owned by Spain and with this prices are sky rocketing… Ms Fitzsimons is asking poignant questions…

Cool tune. Kind of sucks you into itself.

Yep, you are paying at least 65% over the top. What may be happening here is, your meters are being misread, you may have an old imperial meter but you are being billed in metric. A common mistake apparently, some people cant tell the difference between metric and imperial measurements.

Cap and trade is promoted as trying to help the economy go “green”. It’s been in place in Europe, and it doesn’t work there: no good results for all the money spent. Cap and Trade is just another tax source for the government to grow itself and waste our money. You get what you vote for. All the long standing multi-term porkers need to be VOTED OUT. U.S. voters are the dumbest people in the world. Don’t listen to the PROMISES, LOOK AT HOW THEY VOTED! TAKE YOUR NOTES NOW!! VOTE THEM OUT!!

I need to know How does propane gas compare to electricity in terms of cost and energy efficiency for cooking?

bovichield November 2, 2010 at 10:07 pm

Compression fittings are the norm in europe which gets around the soldering issue … we also also push on fitting over copper and Pex!!!! are also used in europe….Just a thought you could consider three port diverter / bypass valves walves on wired to roomthermostats might give you more control over your system….
